Nature connection on Exmoor

Celtic Tree Journey

Over the year you will come to deeply connect with the trees of this land, meeting their dryad spirits, learning about their physical, mental and spiritual properties and through this learning you will begin to reconnect with these aspects within yourself.
You will also explore the tree as sacred space – a physical manifestation of the three mystical realms and discover and connect to your tree ally or personal world tree who will be your guide for the journey and beyond. We will also look at the folklore and history of the trees and their place in myth and legend.

Celtic Tree Journey

Your journey takes place over 13 moons, working with one tree during each lunar cycle.

The journey is a pathway guiding you towards transformation and personal growth, gaining insight and wisdom, healing and balance and a positive outlook on your life and the world around you.

During your journey you will craft a personal set of Ogham sticks creating the beginnings of a set of magical tools to deepen your understanding of, and connection to, each tree. You will work with your Ogham to begin the process of simple divination.

Each month we will gather close to the day of the new moon and spend a whole day together exploring our sacred tree for that lunar cycle; through journeying and meditation and also spending time out in the wild moors and woodlands of  Exmoor physically connecting to that tree in nature.

Your work will continue in solitude over the rest of the month with a personal ritual at the full moon – until we gather to share our experiences at our next meeting

During the year you will also keep a personal journal of your experiences which will build to become a valuable reference tool for the future.

The journey begins in November – the first month of the Celtic Year with an introductory day to allow you to meet and connect with your fellow travellers for the year – on this day you will also explore the journeying process and receive the wood to craft your first Ogham Stick which you will be working with during the first month of the journey. Full details of this workshop can be found here

This is available to signed up participants of the 2013/2014 journey at a very special price of £25 for the day including lunch. The Introductory day is also open to others who have not yet booked onto the journey at a cost of £40.
